  1. The bronze age is a stage of prehistory and
  2. early history when copper and bronze became
  3. the first metals worked extensively and used
  4. for tools and weapons. It developed out of 
  5. the STONE_AGE, and preceded the IRON_AGE,
  6. and may be dated 5000-1200 BC in the Middle
  7. East and about 2000-500 BC in Europe.
